By seven on a June evening the heat finally lets go of the old mill-village streets and the cicadas take over the sound. That is usually when RWS Lawn Service is loading the last trimmer, one more Newnan yard behind them, the sidewalk swept and the gate latched. The day's work is plain and it is visible — grass cut at the right height, borders defined, clippings gathered instead of drifting into the street.
