Spring arrives in Mount Zion with dogwood along the tree line and the first real green rising in the low ground toward the Little Tallapoosa. ZOOK LAWN CARE LLC opens the season with cleanups — winter debris, matted leaves, the sticks that came down in February — so the turf can finally get to the sun. Then the mowing cycle begins and holds all the way through to fall. Edges are cut back where grass has crept out over the concrete, and trimming handles the tight ground around posts and foundations. Everything loose is cleared off at the end, and a yard here looks like somebody is watching over it.
