Reynolds Nature Preserve holds its woods, ponds and trails right in the middle of Morrow, and the neighborhoods grow up hard against its edge. Darrell's landscaping mows on that side of town early in the day, while the shade off the sweetgums is still wide and the grass hasn't taken the sun. South-metro lawns run thick in warm weather, so the work is regular and unglamorous: cut, then trim around mailbox posts, downspouts and the base of the pines. Walks and drives are edged to a straight line and blown free of cuttings. The walk back to the truck, past a yard that finally matches the house, is the best part of it.
