About Clay’s Lawncare & Landscaping

The soil under Monroe is the red clay that gave this part of Georgia its color: it stains boots, it holds water in a hard rain, and it grows bermuda that will not quit. Clay's Lawncare & Landscaping cuts, edges and cleans up yards across town, from the mill-brick blocks near the old cotton works out to the newer streets toward the county line. Summer evenings here come in gold and slow, and a lawn mowed at that hour looks like it has been brushed. The measure of a good day is simple: straight lines, no clippings left on the walk, gates latched behind them. That is enough, and it is a lot.
