A July storm comes through Meigs hard and fast, and an hour later the air is washed clean, the pavement steaming, and every lawn in the county has grown while nobody was watching. Wright Way Land Management works the days after those rains — mowing once the ground firms, edging drives and walks, running the trimmer down the fence lines, then leaving the concrete clear. On the flat land toward Ochlocknee the yards run big, and a big yard cut in even passes is a satisfying sight from the road. Growth starts here in March and does not truly quit until the nights cool in November, so the route runs long. Keeping to it is the whole job, and the yards show it.
