About Scruggs Co

A January morning near the Ochlockonee bottom will silver the grass with frost and lift it off again by ten o'clock. Scruggs Co works Meigs through that quiet stretch of the year — clearing leaves out of beds, cutting back what the cold has finished, keeping lots from going shaggy while the Bermuda sleeps. When warmth returns to the flatwoods the mowers come back out and the weekly cutting picks up where it left off. Trimming and edging give the yard its outline again, and the debris goes with the truck instead of into the street. Round the calendar, the aim is the same: ground that looks looked-after.
