Parker Services

About Parker Services

Summer here builds all afternoon and then breaks — a west Georgia thunderstorm loud over the pines, gone in an hour, leaving the grass an inch taller than it was. Parker Services reads that sky for a living, mowing Luthersville yards in the dry windows and coming back when the ground will hold a wheel. The work is mowing, edging, trimming and blowing, week in and week out through the growing season. A yard cut on schedule never gets away from you; a yard skipped twice becomes a different job entirely. Late in the day, with the light slanting across fresh-cut turf, the passes line up like something worth stopping to look at.
