April turns everything west of Atlanta faintly yellow — pine pollen on the windshields, on the porch rails, on any lawn that has not been touched yet. JW Landscaping starts the year cutting through it: the first mow, edges reopened after winter, trimming along fences and foundations, mulch turned into the beds so the plantings show. From the ridges toward Douglasville the land keeps rolling, and yards ride those slopes at every angle, which makes a level cut a matter of attention rather than luck. Through summer the routine holds, and in fall the leaves get cleared before they smother the grass. A tended landscape reads as calm, and getting a place to that point is the whole job.
