October turns Old Town Lilburn loose — oak, sweetgum and hickory letting go all at once over Main Street and the old rail line, until every yard within a mile has vanished underneath them. Worry-Free Lawn Care exists for the part that comes after: leaf removal, the last cuts of the year, bed and border cleanup, and hauling off whatever the wind stacked against the fence. Somebody pulls into the drive at dusk and finds the lawn open again, the walk swept, nothing waiting. Fall is the loud season, but the mowing, edging and trimming run right through the warm months too. The whole point of the name is that the yard stops being one more thing on the list.
