Earth & Ink takes its name plainly: soil under the boots, and a line drawn true. Come March the pines around Lake Park dust everything yellow, and the first real cuts of the year begin the long work of pulling a yard back into shape. The crew mows, runs the trimmer down the fence lines, edges the drive, then clears the cuttings so the color underneath can come back through. Out toward Grand Bay the land is all water, wiregrass and open sky, and a tended lawn borrows a little of that same order. By the time the mowers roll back onto the trailer, the yard reads like a page with its margins squared.
