About Phillips Lawn and Labor

Some places out from town are more ground than lawn — a long drive, a ditch bank, a fence line running back toward the pines. Phillips Lawn and Labor takes that on the way it has to be taken, with mowing across the open, string trimming down the banks and around every post, edging where the concrete starts, and a blower to finish. It's hands-and-boots work in south Georgia heat, and the result is worth the sweat: an open, even property with nothing creeping in at the margins. From Jesup out toward Odum and Gardi, that's most of what keeps a place looking kept.
