Every spring the green climbs the mountains around Ivylog a few hundred feet at a time, valley first, ridgeline last, and by the time it tops out the mowing season is fully underway. Reel Landscape MGMT runs right along with it — weekly cuts, edged walks, trimmed fence lines, drives blown clean, from the flats near Ivy Log Gap up to the yards that need low gear to reach. Mountain weather changes on a dime here, so the days get worked in whatever order the sky allows. What doesn't change is the finish: a level cut, a defined edge, nothing left scattered. Late in the year the hardwoods let go and the leaf work stretches into December. There's a certain pride in a yard that looks squared away with all that wild country standing right behind it.
