Rain in the Banks County hills goes straight to the creeks, and by evening the branches running toward the Hudson River are loud again. Clear Water Landscape works the yards above those bottoms around Homer — mowing, edging, and keeping the trimmer along fence lines and culvert banks. Mulch goes down around the beds so the ground holds through summer, and shrubs are shaped back off the windows. Leaf season under the oaks means hauling load after load out of the yard until the ground shows again. Cut, cleared and drawn to a border: that is the whole ambition, and it holds up in the rain.
