About D.R. Lawns/ The Mulch Place, LLC

Come April the beds around Hiawassee want turning, and the smell of fresh mulch travels farther than any sign. D.R. Lawns/ The Mulch Place, LLC works both halves of that sentence — the weekly mow and trim, and the load of mulch spread deep and dark around a foundation, a mailbox, a row of hemlocks. Down near the fairgrounds and out along the Hiwassee, mountain ground takes a hard rain in a hurry, so a cut bed edge is not decoration; it is a line that holds. The best part is the walk back to the truck, looking at that crisp border between mulch and grass and knowing it will read the same way from the road all summer. Hiawassee, Young Harris, Blairsville and the coves between them keep the calendar full.
