About Frees lawn service

Out in Burke County the land lies flat and open — cotton, peanuts, long stands of planted pine — with Brier Creek moving quiet toward the Savannah River. Girard is a handful of houses and a rail line, and Frees lawn service keeps its lawns cut on a cycle that will not let August get ahead. Mowing, edging along the drive, trimming at the fence line and the shed corner, then a blower pass so the concrete comes up clean: the same order, every yard. Heat here is a solid thing from June to September and the grass takes full advantage. In country this wide open, a tight-mowed yard reads from the road like a held note.
