About Roy Johnson & Sons Lawn Maintenance

Out toward Lula and Gillsville the county opens into pasture, and the fence lines run straight from the road to the treeline. Roy Johnson & Sons Lawn Maintenance starts early on that side of Hall County, trailer loaded before the dew burns off, working homeplaces and open yards where the grass grows tall in a hurry. Mowing, edging, trimming close along posts and outbuildings, then clearing off the clippings — done the same way every visit, which is how a route earns its keep. There is a kind of quiet in a big yard cut end to end with the lines all running one direction. In fall the leaves and limbs come down and the trucks come back for those too.
