By late October the ridges north of Gainesville go rust and gold, and every yard beneath them starts collecting what the hardwoods let go. Greene Landscape runs the fall through with leaf removal and cleanups, the last mows of the year, edging and trimming, shrub and hedge work, fresh mulch and pine straw laid before the cold, and beds cut back to their shapes. Come spring the same properties get aeration, overseeding and the weekly mowing that carries them to August. Georgia winters here are short and mostly gray, which makes a bed edged in the fall look intentional all the way to March. From Gainesville up toward Clermont, that is the arc of the year.
