About John Franklin Land Group

October in Heard County is the season of long light: pine shadows stretched across pasture edges, county blacktop dusted with the first straw fall, dew that lingers well past nine. John Franklin Land Group spends those days on the wide places around Franklin — mowing open ground and dooryard alike, trimming fence lines and around outbuildings, edging where a hard line belongs, and pushing leaves and limbs off the drive. Acreage out this way goes shaggy in a hurry when nobody is watching it, and there is a quiet pleasure in bringing a place back to a shape it can keep. The last pass ends and the grass reads even all the way to the tree line. Then the truck rolls out onto the road, and the property holds that look until the next round.
