East of Forsyth the road tips down toward Juliette and the Ocmulgee, where the water moves slow and brown and the afternoons take their time. Pappy's Lawn Care LLC keeps yards along that stretch and back up into town — mowing, edging, trimming and clearing off what the season drops. River-country grass grows lush in the bottoms and thinner up on the clay, and both get cut to look like they belong to the same house. Bed edges are cut back sharp, fence lines are trimmed out, and the walk is left swept. Good yard work down here is unhurried and finished, which is more or less how the whole county prefers things.
