Gopher Turf

About Gopher Turf

Georgia clay under Forest Park is red and stubborn, and the Bermuda that comes up out of it wants cutting twice a week once June arrives. Gopher Turf works with that appetite rather than against it, mowing, edging and trimming on a rhythm the grass sets. Midsummer here means cicadas going all afternoon and heat standing in the yard like a third person, so the work moves steady and finishes clean. Beds are cut back to a defined line, fence rows are trimmed out, and the clippings never get left where anyone tracks them. Come the cooler months the pace eases and the job turns to cleanup, but the standard for a finished yard doesn't move.
