About Al Davis Lawn Care Co.

Late in the summer the pecan groves outside town go heavy and still, and the air holds that green, dusty sweetness South Georgia knows by heart. Al Davis Lawn Care Co. mows through it — bermuda cut to an even height, the string trimmer run around the mailbox post and down the fence line, the drive blown clean before the truck pulls away. A yard that has been kept looks different from one that has only been cut, and the difference lives in the edges. Hedges get shaped before they crowd the windows, and leaves get gathered when the season finally turns them loose. It is steady work in a place that rewards steadiness.
