October finally takes the weight out of the air around Fargo: mornings turn cool, the grass slows down, and the county roads raise dust instead of steam. That is cleanup season, when beds get raked out, leaves and limbs get hauled off, and the lawn gets the tidy cuts that carry it through the mild months.
