About Matthews Turf Management

Turf is a crop, and around Evans it is mostly warm-season grass that spreads sideways and rewards a cut taken at the right height. Matthews Turf Management thinks in those terms, raising the deck when August bears down, lowering it as the nights cool, and mowing in a direction that makes the surface lie flat and read even from the street. Trimming and edging finish the shape of the yard, and a pass with the blower keeps the clippings out of the beds and off the concrete. There is a plain pleasure in a lawn that looks like one continuous surface instead of a patchwork, and that is what the route is built around. Properties in Evans, Martinez, and Grovetown are kept on that rhythm through the long Georgia growing season.
