Highway 441 runs straight through the middle of Eatonton, and on any weekday you can watch the town's work go by on it — trailers, mowers, ladders, somebody headed out to a yard. Joes unlimited is part of that traffic, taking on lawn work across Putnam County: mowing, string trimming, edging, blowing off the drive, and the cleanups that follow a summer storm or a long fall of leaves. The name gives the range away — if it grows in a yard, it can be cut back, cleared out or hauled off. Warm months here stretch from March past October, so the mowing rarely gets much of a rest. A finished yard on a hot afternoon is a plain, honest thing to leave behind you.
