Allen's Tree Service

About Allen's Tree Service

August in Dodge County stacks thunderheads over the pecan groves by two in the afternoon, and everyone watching the sky knows what is coming. Allen's Tree Service works the flatwoods and farm lanes around Eastman — pines that grew fast and shallow, pecans carrying more limb than they can hold, oaks that shaded a porch long before the porch got its swing. Removal, trimming and pruning fill the mild stretches, and when a squall line lays a tree across a county road, the storm cleanup starts early and does not stop until the ground is raked. It is plain physical work with a plain reward: a place that reads as cared for from the road. The middle Georgia sun handles the rest.
