The Chattahoochee runs cold under Rogers Bridge long after Duluth mornings have gone mild, and spring reaches the ridges well before it reaches the water. Earthbound Landscape Services opens the season up there — first cuts of the year, edges re-established, fence lines and foundations trimmed back after winter. The river side of town holds moisture and grows heavy, while the higher lots dry sooner and want a different pass. Mowing, edging, trimming and blow-off stay on a set schedule so no yard ever has to be rescued. By the time the dogwoods are out, the lawns are already ahead of the season.
