School lets out along College Avenue and Winnona Park fills with the sound of kids on bikes and, somewhere down the block, a mower finishing a Friday route. Cody's Lawncare Service keeps the small Decatur yards on a weekly rhythm: cut, edge, trim the fence line, clear the walk. In November the big yard oaks let go all at once and the work turns to leaves, raked and hauled until the grass shows again. It is unglamorous and it is the whole point — a lawn that is simply, consistently right, week after week, without anyone in the house ever having to think about it.
