About Smooth Cuttin Lawn LLC

Before the shops open around Covington's courthouse square, the light comes in low and long across Floyd Street, and a mown lawn takes it like fabric. Smooth Cuttin Lawn LLC works the morning end of the day, when the Georgia dew still weighs the blades down and a cut holds its line clean. The work is mowing, edging, string trimming and hauling off what the blowers gather — plain things done so a yard looks combed rather than merely shortened. Bermuda out in the sun, fescue hanging on under the old water oaks; each one asks a different height, and the mower gets set for it. By the time the heat stands up off the pavement, the truck is on to the next street and that first yard is still holding its stripes.
