About Colbert Lawn Ranger

A route is a kind of patrol, and in Colbert it runs the same order most weeks: the in-town blocks first while the air is still cool, then out the county roads as the morning opens up. Colbert Lawn Ranger keeps that circuit — mowing, edging, trimming and blowing, yard after yard, until the whole line has been walked. Northeast Georgia summers grow grass faster than anyone plans for, especially after the storms that roll down off the piedmont in late afternoon. Staying ahead of that is the entire trick, and it is done with a schedule rather than heroics. The payoff is simple: pull up on Friday and every place on the list still looks like Tuesday.
