About The Augusta Turf Company

Midsummer in Claxton arrives as a white-hot noon, heat shimmering off the asphalt where U.S. 301 meets U.S. 280. Trucks rumble through on their way to somewhere else, but the yards along the side streets are the part of town that stays put. The Augusta Turf Company mows Claxton lawns, and its name puts the focus where a southern yard lives or fades: the turf itself. In thick July heat, warm-season grass surges, and holding it at one tidy height becomes a test of stamina and timing. The payoff is a lawn that looks cool even when the air does not, dense and short and edged clean along the curb.
