About By the Yard Lawn Services

October comes down Gordon Street a little at a time — one maple, then the next, until the whole of Chickamauga is going amber at the edges. By the Yard Lawn Services works exactly the way the name says: one yard at a time, mowing, trimming, edging, and hauling off the leaves before they mat down over the grass. There is a good feeling in a fall lawn that has been raked and cut clean, the kind you notice from the sidewalk without knowing why. The work is unhurried and it is thorough, and the difference shows on the walk to the front door. When the light goes short and blue in the afternoon, the yards along the street look tended and ready.
