Carrollton wakes slow in summer, the dew still silver on the Bermuda when the first mower turns over. This is a lawn care outfit working the shaded streets near Maple and out toward the Sand Hill roads, mowing, edging and trimming until a yard reads clean from the curb. West Georgia grass grows fast between thunderstorms, and staying ahead of it is the whole job — a straight pass down the strip, a clean sweep of clippings off the walk. By the time the heat stacks up over Carroll County the route is done and the lawn looks like nobody had to sweat for it. That is exactly the point.
