Saturday morning in Calhoun still sounds like the old Western & Atlantic line — a horn somewhere north toward Resaca, and underneath it, all over town, the drone of mowers. Dixons Lawncare is out in that chorus: weekly and biweekly cuts, string trimming around posts and playsets, edging the walks, blowing the drive clean before the trailer gate goes back up. June grass grows fast enough here that a week is a real difference, and showing up on time is most of the job. The rest is caring what the corners look like. A yard finished by noon leaves the whole rest of the weekend to somebody else.
