About Calhoun Turf Management

Gordon County sits square in the transition zone, where bermuda bakes happily through a Georgia July and fescue would rather be somewhere farther north — which makes turf here a matter of reading the ground carefully. Calhoun Turf Management works that: mowing at the height each grass wants, edging, trimming, and the seasonal timing that decides whether a lawn thins out or thickens up. September, when the nights finally cool and the humidity breaks, is when the year's real decisions get made. A dense, even stand of grass is not luck; it is a hundred small choices about height and season and shade. The valley soil will reward every one of them.
