Polecat Lawnscapes

About Polecat Lawnscapes

The dirt roads running toward Whigham turn copper at dusk, and the longleaf standing on either side drops the straw that half of Grady County uses to dress its beds. Polecat Lawnscapes puts that material to work the way it was meant to be used — pine straw laid thick and even, the border cut clean where straw meets grass, mulch where mulch suits the spot better. The rest is steady country work: mowing, trimming, clearing the drive, keeping shrubs off the porch rail and out of the gutters' way. Yards run big and irregular out here, with ditch banks, fence lines and a pecan or two to swing around, so no two routes look alike. There is real satisfaction in the last light finding a place that has been squared away.
