Take the back roads out of Byron toward Fort Valley and the pecan groves run in long straight rows, their shade falling in bars across the pavement. Countryside Landscaping works those same open stretches and the yards that sit along them, mowing in the late afternoon when the light goes gold and the heat finally loosens its grip. Grass comes down even, edges get cut in along the walks, and anything that lands on the driveway gets moved off it. Pecan leaves and hulls fall hard in autumn, and hauling that out is part of the arrangement. There is a real pleasure in a country lot that looks kept without ever looking fussed over.
