Come October the marsh past town turns the color of good bread, and the tide pulls back to leave long shining creeks bending through it — the Marshes of Glynn, doing what they have always done. Southern Landscape keeps the yards on the near side of that view, where salt air and mild autumns mean the grass never entirely stops and neither does the work. Steady mowing cycles, edges cut, hedges shaped, beds mulched and weeded, leaves and limbs gathered and gone. Fall on this coast is the kindest season to stand outside in, and it shows in the finish. A lawn that held all summer deserves to look like it in the light coming off the water.
