Scalco’s Land Services

About Scalco’s Land Services

West of town the ground opens up — pine and palmetto out toward Blythe Island, lots that run back farther than a push mower ever wants to go. Scalco's Land Services takes on that kind of acreage in the cool months, when Glynn County's short winter thins the bugs and the light comes low and level across the grass by four o'clock. Big open mowing, fence lines and ditch banks trimmed out, the brush that creeps in from the edges cut back, and the debris hauled off rather than piled. Closer in, the rounds are ordinary yards on an ordinary schedule, held to the same standard. Land that is kept looks kept from the road, and that is the measure.
