The drive out the Jekyll Island Causeway runs a straight line through open marsh, and toward evening the whole plain glows green-gold clear to the horizon. Coastal clean and green landscaping takes its cue from that — green kept green, and everything else swept up afterward. On a Brunswick route that means mowing, edging drives and sidewalks, trimming the fence lines, pruning shrubs back into shape, mulching beds and clearing clippings so nothing gets tracked across the concrete. Salt wind and summer rain make a mess of a property quickly down here. Undoing that mess, yard by yard, is the job.
