About Grass Commanders, LLC

Out where Bowdon thins into pasture, the yards run generous — half an acre of grass sloping down to a wire fence and a windbreak of pines. Grass Commanders, LLC takes ground like that the way you would take a hayfield: one pass laid tight against the last, lines running true from the road to the tree line. Mowing, edging along the drive, trimming around posts and mailboxes and the foot of every pine — the small work is what makes the wide sweep look deliberate. By ten in the morning a July field out here is a furnace, so the trailer drops early and the route runs west while the air still has some give in it. Come evening the light goes gold across all that cut grass and the stripes stand up like corduroy.
