About Sumner Tractor Services

Big places out this way run all the way to the horizon — field edges, fence rows, a pond dam, a stand of pines at the back — and dusk turns the whole of it gold. Sumner Tractor Services keeps that ground in order with mowing on rotation, edging wherever there is concrete to edge, trimming out fence lines and posts, and clearing clippings and debris once the work is done. Acreage near Big Satilla Creek grows heavy through a southeast Georgia summer, and open ground shows every pass a person misses. Cooler months bring the gathering up — leaves, straw and fallen limbs off the grass and away. A wide lawn cut evenly is a plain sort of beautiful, and worth all the hours it takes.
