Water is never far from Baldwin — creeks come down out of Habersham through laurel and rhododendron, run cold under the road bridges, and the yards near them stay green a little longer than the rest. Riverside Land Services LLC mows those bottoms along with the hillside lots above them, edging the walks, trimming close around trunks and posts, and clearing the drive at the end of every visit. Ground beside a creek can be soft on Monday and firm by Thursday, so the route bends around the rain instead of fighting it. Fall piles hardwood leaves in drifts along the fence lines, and the cleanup keeps them from smothering the grass underneath. The whole point is a yard that looks open and tended, right down to the last strip against the woods.
