About Southern Green GA

By June the Chattahoochee runs cool below Vinings while the ridge above it holds every degree of the afternoon, and most days a storm arrives around five to wash the air clean. Southern Green GA mows and edges through that hot, wet middle of a Georgia summer, when grass climbs so fast a lawn can get out ahead of a homeowner in eight days. The routine is unglamorous and it works: cut at the height the turf can carry, edge the walks, trim the borders, clear the drive. Clearings arrive each spring, then again after the last leaves are down, limbs included. Green is the whole southern promise around here, and keeping hold of it is the job.
