Perennial Cuts

About Perennial Cuts

October is Athens at its most generous: the humidity finally lifts, and the light coming down the Firefly Trail toward Winterville turns long and gold. Perennial Cuts works right through it, mowing on a schedule that does not slip, edging the walk, clearing the leaf drop that comes heavy off water oaks and sweetgums once the nights cool. The name is really a promise about rhythm, the same yard given the same care week after week, so a lawn never has to be rescued. Come summer they are out early, keeping ahead of grass that can gain inches after a run of thunderstorms. One month to the next, the aim holds steady: the crisp edge, the swept walk, the yard that looks kept rather than caught up.
