Walton Works

About Walton Works

Sumter County dirt runs red under a thin skin of sand, and it will grow grass fast enough to keep a person busy from March to Thanksgiving. Walton Works holds that pace across Americus — mowing, edging, string trimming, shrub trimming, bed cleanups, and hauling off whatever the yard is finished with. Around the courthouse square the awnings throw the same shade they always have, and out in the neighborhoods the routine is just as fixed: same day, same lines, nothing left lying in the drive. The second word in the name carries the idea — show up, do the work, leave the place squared away. A yard that has been kept doesn't announce itself; it just looks right.
