Yard Devils

About Yard Devils

Summer evenings the thunderheads pile up east of Lake Eloise, white on top and bruised underneath, and everyone watching knows roughly how much time is left to finish. Yard Devils works against that clock — mowing, edging, trimming and blowing, one yard at a time, the last drive swept about when the first drops land. Rain like that puts an inch on the grass overnight, which is why the schedule stays tight from June into September. When the cool months come the pace eases and the work turns toward cleanup and edging. A yard finished right ahead of a storm is its own particular satisfaction.
