First Choice Sod

About First Choice Sod

Wimauma sits in the farm country of southeast Hillsborough, where fields run flat to the tree line and the Little Manatee River moves slow and dark under the oaks. First Choice Sod works with the ground itself, stripping out what failed, grading the sand smooth, then rolling green across a bare lot until the seams disappear. Pallets come off the truck heavy in the early cool, and by afternoon a yard that was dirt is a lawn. New builds and older properties get the same order of operations, right down to patching the thin spots along a walk. There is nothing quite like standing back from finished sod and seeing one unbroken sheet of green where there was nothing that morning.
