About The Turf World

Turf is a crop, and down here it is a crop that never quits. The Turf World treats a lawn accordingly: St. Augustine cut high enough to shade its own roots, Bahia handled on its own terms, fertilization timed to the rains, weeds caught before they seed. Drive past the playing fields at Okeeheelee on a bright morning after a soaking and you can see what this coastal sand and sun will do when something is actually feeding it. The same holds on a quarter-acre front yard — even color, tight borders, a surface that takes a footprint and springs back. That is the result worth chasing, week after week, in a city where the mower never really gets put away.
