About R & S Reliable Lawn Service, Inc.

Monday, first thing, the route starts near Lake Mangonia where the water sits still and flat and the herons have the shoreline to themselves. R & S Reliable Lawn Service, Inc. runs its week from there — mowing, edging and trimming yard after yard, the same houses on the same days, so the grass never gets a chance to run ahead. There is a rhythm to a fixed route that shows up in the lawns themselves: consistent height, a border that stays where it was cut, hedges that never need rescuing because they never got away. Palm fronds and clippings go in the truck, walkways get blown clear, and the gate gets latched behind you. Finishing a full Monday with every yard on the list looking level is the plain, unglamorous pleasure of the job.
