About Lopez Landscaping & Design

The banyans over Broadway in Northwood Village hold their shade across the sidewalks long after the sun has cleared the water, and that early cool is a good hour to be working. Lopez Landscaping & Design mows, edges and trims through these blocks of narrow lots and old ficus hedges, where a yard is measured in feet rather than acres and every line shows. In the dry months the St. Augustine sits tight and holds its color, so the work turns toward shaping — a hedge squared off, a bed line recut, palm fronds cleared and hauled. Design sits in the name because a small West Palm Beach yard can be arranged as well as tended: the right green in the right corner, the front walk given room to breathe. What gets left behind is a tidy little world, blown clean to the curb, waiting on the long gold of late afternoon.
